Do You or Your Child have Dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, or a Learning “Disability”?
Don't settle for learning to compensate for the symptoms. Let us show you how to correct the root causes of these learning difficulties.
A Unique Approach to Treating Dyslexia and ADD/ADHD
Jane Lopez, of Dyslexia and ADD Mastery, is a provider of the Davis Dyslexia Correction Program®, based on Ron Davis’s best selling book, The Gift of Dyslexia. Ron Davis’s pioneering work changed the misunderstanding that learning “disabilities” are caused by a deficiency in brain function, to the understanding that they show a difference in thinking and learning styles. This difference can cause confusion when dealing with
symbols and perceptions, but it also brings with it inherent skills and talents.
At Dyslexia and ADD Mastery, we tap into those innate gifts and talents and show clients how to USE THEM to gain independent control of the aspects of dyslexia and ADD that CAUSE difficulties. We teach people how they can learn words and concepts in a way that works WITH their gifts of creativity and spatial ability, rather than by use of phonics, memorization, repetitive drill, or medication – methods that only address the symptoms of the difficulties.

How these Methods have changed LIVES:
In the words of Peter, 34: “I had never sat down with a tutor or anyone else who was ever teaching me and had them tell me, 'Here’s all the good things and the skills of being dyslexic. Here’s all the things that you can do that other people can’t necessarily do. We are going to use all these skills to be able to do better at reading and spelling. It’s always been the exact opposite. It’s always been ‘You do all these things wrong, and you’re terrible at this, so we need to work on these things. The good things that you can do are secondary. They don’t have anything to do with what we are doing here.’
Now that I have done this program, I can play my game - that works for me - not have to try to use what works for everybody else. The ways I’ve had to learn before never had anything to do with any of my skills. Flash cards and phonics never did anything for me. They were just like seeing more words. This is like having someone teach you in your own language.”
And the mother of Harry, 11 – Harry left that meeting with you feeling so great about himself. I am teary-eyed just thinking about it. He said it was the first time he ever felt proud of how he thinks. And he also said you made him feel important, which is just huge and amazing and wonderful. You have no idea how much this experience has meant to Harry! He genuinely loved working with you, and he feels so confident about reading! What a gift!

Unsure if you are dealing with dyslexia?
How do the Davis® Programs Work?
They begin by providing dyslexics and people with ADD with an understanding of how they think and how they process words and concepts.
The programs include:
|
I offer these programs to people, ages 8 through adult, as one-on-one programs. Dyslexia Correction Programs are 30-hour programs over 5 consecutive days. The Attention and Math Mastery Programs are several days longer, depending on the needs of the client. Each program involves follow-up work that clients do independently, on their own schedules, with continuing consultation from me.
How Effective Are The Programs?
Mother of Sasha, age 9: "Yesterday, Sasha told me that you have changed her life. She shows confidence now and asks her dad to read with her every night. She’s full of energy and happiness.”
Mother of Owen, age 10: “It’s wonderful to see him graduate to being able to read something at this challenging level and truly rewarding to witness him make this amount of progress.”
Kaeden, age 10: “I can’t wait to go back to school and show my teacher what I can do!”
Levon, age 15: “When I was reading out loud with my grandma, I could really see the difference. More focus, less distractions. This is good.”

Miriam, age 44: “I feel happier. I finally understand what dyslexia is: disorientation, difficulty with 2-dimensional words. I don’t feel like I’m going to have a panic attack. Getting my alignment is what makes this unique. I always forgot what I learned using other methods. This is the first time I have ever had fun reading, and have ever wanted to keep reading on.”
Peter, age 34: “This makes me feel like I have ownership over my dyslexia. It’s not just something that is happening to me. Learning Symbol Mastery has made what I can do with it limitless. There are so many things I could learn better with this. I have a process now to handle language. I finally have a tool that makes me feel like I know that I can use this to help myself. Before, I felt that there was nothing that could help me, that it would always be terrible. Now I feel like there is something that I can do to make me better and better every day. From a stress level and a confidence level, it’s like night and day. It’s a great weight off my shoulders. The biggest thing for me is that I have something that’s mine now. I don’t need to try to be somebody else.”

Gaven, age 9: “Getting “on point” helps me with reading and writing and math and tests. It helps a lot with football. It helps me with learning and not daydreaming and with making good decisions.”
Mitchell, age 23: “Because of this program, I’ve been able to know when I’m getting distracted or disoriented, and I’ve learned how to get my orientation back. I’ve learned how to do Release, and establish a proper energy level. I’ve been able to assess other people’s energy levels, and change mine accordingly. I can use clay to work out situations and determine solutions.”
Elena, age 29: “I’m more self-aware because of the Dial. Matching my Dial reduces arguments. I can keep my attention on one thing longer. I’m able to keep my focus and retain what I’m reading.”
